The Korea Water Forum (KWF) is an entity representing the Republic of Korea, leading international cooperation in the water sector. KWF has accumulated precious experiences and essential assets for the development and strengthening of global water networks, particularly in catalyzing partnerships among the public and private sectors, academic societies, and industries. Most notably, KWF has exerted efforts to share Korea's historical science, technology, engineering and public policies related to integrated water management with the global water community.
KWF seeks to contribute to the development of the water management, including water supply, quality control, mitigation of floods and environmental preservation of water bodies with support from expert groups and key stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
KWF will continuously take the initiative to raise public awareness on the importance of water management, with the key purpose of providing leadership in the optimization of various water uses and the prevention of water-related disasters caused by severe droughts and land-slide floods occurring more frequently than ever in the era of climate change.
KWF will continuously strengthen the functions and roles in the field of international cooperation, actively taking part in the process of addressing the primary water agenda on a local, regional and global level, as a bridge for our partners both in and outside of Korea.
